Thermosynthesis was first proposed by Anthonie Muller in a 1983 paper "Thermoelectric energy conversion could be an energy source of living organisms", in Physics Letters A, vol. 96, Issue 6, p. 319-321

Muller even suggested thermosynthesis could have been a precursor to the earliest (sulfur-based) photosynthesis. In A Search For Thermosynthesis: Starvation Survival In Thermally Cycled Bacteria.

Thermosynthesis was first proposed by Anthonie Muller in a 1983 paper ("Thermoelectric Energy Conversion Could Be An Energy Source Of Living Organisms", in Physics Letters A, vol. 96, Issue 6, pp. 319-321) . It would provide a small fraction of the overall energy that respiration does (A Search For Thermosynthesis: Starvation Survival In Thermally Cycled Bacteria).

Muller even suggested thermosynthesis could have been a precursor to the earliest (sulfur-based) photosynthesis (Photosystem 0, A Proposed Ancestral Photosystem Without Reducing Power That Synthesized ATP During Light-Dark cycling).

If [i]organelle unlocks[/i] are enabled in game settings, the organelle can be unlocked without [i]endosymbiosis[/i] once the following condition is met [i]for the player cell[/i]:

Turns [thrive:compound type="atp"][/thrive:compound] into [thrive:compound type="oxytoxy"][/thrive:compound]. Can release toxins by pressing [thrive:input]g_fire_toxin[/thrive:input]. When [thrive:compound type="oxytoxy"][/thrive:compound] amount is low, shooting is still possible but will have a reduced damage.
Transforme l'[thrive:compound type="atp"][/thrive:compound] en [thrive:compound type="oxytoxy"][/thrive:compound]. Peut libérer des toxines en appuyant sur [thrive:input]g_fire_toxin[/thrive:input]. Lorsque la quantité d'[thrive:compound type="oxytoxy"][/thrive:compound] est faible, il est toujours possible de tirer mais les dégâts sont réduits.
